Ava and Drei need our help!
Ava, a sweet, happy-go-lucky bully breed, was abandoned after being injured in a motor vehicle accident. When she came into our care, she showed no signs of pain, just endless affection and a wagging tail.
After routine vet work, we requested X-rays out of caution and were heartbroken by what we found—Ava’s pelvis was severely misaligned from an untreated injury.
She recently saw a specialist and now requires a femoral head and neck excision arthroplasty, a surgical procedure to relieve her pain and improve her mobility. Too sad for words. She desperately needs to have surgery. Until then she remains on pain medication and strict rest. We need to raise funds tonight so we can book Ava in.
I also wanted to reach out to you and tell you about precious Drei.
At just six months old, Drei was hit by a car and suffered devastating injuries that nearly cost him his leg. Thankfully, we sprung into action and with urgent medical intervention,
Drei is recovering well and walking on all four legs again. However, he still needs ongoing care to ensure he heals properly, but his future is looking brighter every day
"Both of these cases were not planned. However, most emergency situations in rescue happen when you least expect. Late nights, public holidays, as you are out celebrating wedding anniversaries or out at the theatre. "
